Code:
Date: August 30, 2008
---------------------------------------
Author: Demboyz
Changes to: DF:BHD, WoW:BC
---------------------------------------
- Fixed several admins to the Remote Manager
- Fixed the port for DF:BHD Server to be stuck on 17479 (Main Server)
- Reserved Port for DF:BHD RB Server, (Port: 17849), still waiting on how to do it...
- Fixed stats (Allowed in DET Detection Again for some reason, keeps poppin out.)
- Cleared cache
- Deleted "uploadstats.txt" within the Chronos Folder (Held old stats and shit, too big :|)
- Uninstalled BMT (Worthless)
________________________________________
- Refreshed database for WoW:BC Database
- Ran some fixes within the database for items etc..
- Deleted custom weapons which I have no need for, saves RAM
- Dropped "graveyards" table sense it's just empty...
- Restarted server
- Fixed random SQL problems that were popping up in the console, mainly SQL problems with the GM_Tickets
- Cleared characters that are no longer used. This will prevent the common bug as where to if you create characters and delete them, sometimes your account will "lock up" and you won't be able to use it.
- Dropped stats.xml and currently trying to remove it from being printed, isn't used so not needed, everything is read from the SQL tables.

PvP Tokens V2
World of Warcraft:
Well, I've decided that the current PVP System that we have on the server is totally unfair. The problem is, that say a lvl 70 player was able to kill say a lvl 5 player and still recieve the same reward from any kill. This was totally not my intention of the whole thing. Seeing as this would be unfair, and people would just "Gold Grind" all day on low level players. This is what I consider total bullshit. Not that I couldn't whipe out everyone on the server (lol). So I've begun development on a new pvp system. This system will hopefully be way better than the current one, and also give the sense of "fair-play"
My main intention of this is to allow people to recieve the reward for pvp kill if they are either 3 levels lower or 3 levels higher than the person they kill.
Example would be:
I'm currently lvl 20. I'm able to kill someone who is lvl 17 and recieve the pvp reward (1 gold). I also can kill someone who is lvl 23 and recieve the same reward (1 gold).
Now, if someone who is lvl 70 kills someone who is lvl 20 they simply get nothing. 'nor does the person who lost loose anything (except of course damage penalty to their armor). I personally feel that this will solve all gold-grinding problems but still give the same amount of fun.
Code:
File Edited: None (Created file in C:/ArcEmu/src/scripts/src/extrascripts/PvPMngrV2.cpp)
Edit: None
Added: My coding so far, which is NOWHERE near complete but it's just the basic structure. Please do not try and compile this script as it totally will not compile and even if it does, it will most likely give -MANY- errors.
File Edited: None (Created file in C:/ArcEmu/src/scripts/src/extrascripts/PvPRewards.cpp)
Edit: None
Added: Coding structure for rewards for so many kills etc.. The release of this has no ETA as I don't expect it to be given much attention just yet as we barely have any players and such.
File Edited: None (Created file in C:/ArcEmu/src/scripts/src/extrascripts/PvPCounter.cpp)
Edit: None
Added: Blank file, plan to have this add up total pvp kills etc..and possibly display them on the site. Again, there's no ETA as it's just an idea, and I have yet on how to go about doing this.
File Edited: None (Create file in C:/ArcEmu/src/scripts/src/extrascripts/PvPNPCRewarder.cpp)
Edit: None
Added: Basically the same thing as the PvPRewards.cpp but in the form of an NPC instead of just adding some item to the persons inventory. Instead allowing them to choose by spending a "PvPReward Coin" to buy whatever item is availiable. Don't know with which one I'll go with, but it's a work in progress.
On a seperate note, I'm going to begin work on the WoW Site so I don't have to kill this site with News Posts. Should be finished by late tomorrow.

Handover of VWar to a new publisher
Greetings dear vwar users
This is an important one-time newsletter to all our registered board users.
Some of you may already be aware of this news nevertheless please read on for further details.
Long time there has been no significant update to vwar.
None of the updates could remove all major and minor bugs.
For that reason I am very pleased, that vwar is still so popular.
I think that indicates how strong the demand for a all-in-one solution in the area of online-gaming is. For a long time I was quite unsure how to proceed in this matter conceptual.
None of the former solutions satisfied me. Now it seems we got an really acceptable solution which will be on behalf of all current and future users.
We found a capable partner who will continue to distribute and develop vwar.
The key facts are:
(1) development of vwar will be continued
(2) vwar will still remain freeware
(3) vwar will remain a stand-alone product
------------
IMPORTANT:
------------
I like to accounce that I am still 50% responsible for the project I am just staying in the background now.
Below you find some question and anwsers from the new publisher.
That's right! We have installed an IRC Server on our box and plan to open it to everyone soon. This is just a heads up to notify everyone. There's still a LOT of work to be done on it such as nickserv etc.. just need to get ahold of KJThaDon to see some things. Hopefully he has the time to help my noob ass out :P.
Our main intention for IRC is so people can come in and chill without having to have our MSN ID's. We feel (or perhaps I) feel that MSN ID's are too extreme of a requirment. Due to the fact that MSN can cause lag because it's a heavy program (on some computers) and also the registration of it, the aaving of passwords and all that good stuff. So what I mainly wanted to do was an IRC Server so that ANYONE can connect, come in, notify us of a cheat/hack/server crash..whatever, or just to plain chat it up with us. I expect everyone to be on it because IRC was the FIRST instant messaging thing, so basically, anyone computer made from 1990 on can run this chat program no problem...
Will keep you guys updated and hopefully will have the server up by mid-August if not sooner.
This week, I don't plan on updating the WoW:BC server..Instead, I plan on playing through on a couple characters, along with my admins/moderators to get a list of general bugs in the server, and I will list them here so people know not to report these to use, because..we already know..so please bare with us while we do this, it's all for our players.
Bug List:
Quests:
Quest Name: Bitter Rivals
Quest ID: 310
Problem: Jarven Thunderbrew (The guard for the barrel) is not interactible, 'thus he does not give a quest 'nor can you give him the beer to get 'rid of him, so you can not complete this quest.
Status on fix: In query
Mob Bugs:
Mob Name: Black Bear
Mob ID: 1129
Mob Problem: Not much spawned in Loch Modan for the quest (totally forget the name) where you need to collect bear fur. As this is not a 100% drop-rate on them, our team feels that not many of them spawned will make the quest actually harder than it was intended to be. So solve this problem, we will be adding spawns for these bears in upcoming updates.
Status on fix: In query
Mob Name: All
Mob ID: N/A
Mob Problem: Mobs traveling "underground" to get to you (mainly in bumpy land and snow) this may cause problems and/or allow you to get "Ganked" or "piled" while trying to get one mob at a time.
Status on fix: In query
Warrior Bugs
Warrior Skill: Charge
Warrior Skill ID: 100
Skill Problem: When using Charge on mobs in higher-ground or similar, you will go through the ground (under it) and you will fall through the world. The only way to solve this is to have a GM port you out of it, and as GM's can't be around to all our players and port them out of this bug if they get in it, until a fix is worked, we warn people to either not use this skill, or to be careful with it. If so many people do actually use it, we will have no option but to disable it for the time being.
Status on fix: In Query
